However there is a minor point about the location. Higgens Point (yes, this is the correct spelling) is about 0.2 mile southeast of the location of the statue. The statue is actually located on the 34 acre Coeur d’Alene Parkway, a thin strip of park land running along the Centennial Trail for about 1/2 mile before meeting Higgens Point, the end point of the parkway.
