Looks like one of the many Kit Cars that were fashionable in the 60s-70s-80s .
You bought a fibreglass body and a donor car. Usually an accident write off.
Changed over all the body parts and engine and you had a sports car for less than a few thousand dollars !

Well, now I know why it looked a bit wrong to me…I was off by a year!
