Google+ Hacked: Watch Where those Links Go!

Google+ hotel listings were hijacked recently, resulting in links to hotel chains such as Marriott being redirected to unauthorized 3rd-party booking sites. Could have been worse…they could have been fraudulent sites.

The immediate problem has been corrected, but point taken: When you click on a link, look closely at where it goes (bottom left of your screen will usually show you the actual URL you’re being taken to.) If you clicked on a link that’s supposed to go to Marriott, say, make sure it goes to marriott.com
