George Orwell Sights

The London Telegraph looks at sights associated with the late author George Orwell on the anniversary of his death.

He’s one of my favorite authors ,not only for his insights into politics and the future ,but also Poverty of the time. I was curious to see where he was staying in Paris because he wrote ,’Down and Out in Paris and London’ about poverty.

Its a slideshow of photos .

Enjoy

Eric Arthur Blair, Orwell’s real name, is buried in a little churchyard in Oxfordshire, England (photo #18 in the Telegraph slide show).  I’ve visited him there, a pilgrimage of sorts, and recommend it to anyone who’s interested in the author.  A peaceful and quintessentially English churchyard.
