Amsterdam’s Valentine to AirBnb: New short-term rental rules

AirBnb’s quest for legitimacy in cities that ban or limit short-term rentals got a boost from Amsterdam’s city council, which just passed rules creating a category of “private rental” with a set of limits and a tax obligation. AirBnb says it’s fine. DETAILS

It’s interesting that it’s a European city to officially recognize value for it’s citizen in an American innovation.  I guess that means maturity comes packaged in more ways than nice old buildings.  New York City and others, take note.
