This one should be a more difficult quest to all the eagle eyed transport historians.
This really is a Taxi. As a tourist you’d never use it. But the Hotels use it to bring the workers in from the nearest town. I know it looks like a cattle truck – but there are rows of seats inside! A common sight around Cuba.
It looks as though it has slits in the “passenger compartment”. Good to know that it has this air conditioning.
You can see all the faces looking out. Shouting and waving at their friends as they travel to work in style ! Beats a cycle ride in the heat. Its often a 2 hour drive on slow bumpy roads. Hotel gives them a pre-paid ticket each. No windows – just natures AirCon !
Cuban Workers Bus ! Like a Taxi – but bigger !
