Today is the first day of Spring 2014 in England. Everywhere in the World gets an equal 12 hours daylight and the Sun rises north of the equator for the first time this year. The Northern Hemisphere starts warming for summer.
This photo is the Field of Hope in Liverpool. In Sefton Park – south of the city centre.
If you want to remember a loved one you plant a few Daffodils and every Spring we get to see them. Its been going for years and now there’s millions of flowers each spring !
Thanks, spring! We needed that!
It’s snowing this morning, so I can relate to PHeymont’s comment.
That is what spring should look like. That’s for that bit of sunshine!
It has been a tradition for 30 years now Rob.
Many requests are made to leave their ashes there too.
And no one builds a Car Park there !!
It beats the locks on a bridge that they have to cut off, that’s for sure.
I’ve seen people plant long living trees and always thought that was a nice idea too
What a great tradition!
