While the title of this picture is obvious, it might just as easily have been “A Window On Paris,” because there’s never nothing interesting when you look out. Over the years, we’ve had animated street scenes, a courtyard view of a boulangerie’s kitchen (the smell of bread baking at 3 a.m.! not to be missed!), famous landmarks, and often just interesting roofscapes.
This view, from an apartment in Rue Lucien Sampaix in the 10e, opened onto a jumble where three buildings met and windows, skylights, steps and ladders formed a maze. Nothing planned…just a small corner of Paris for me to treasure. Below, a few more window views from different apartments.
From Place Ramey, 18e, a view of Sacre Coeur.
And from the Rue de Paradis, in the 9e, rows and rows of chimney pots
Nothing like a room with a view!!
