A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
For some reason your Newport sign makes me think of the famous Laguna beach Greeter.Eiler Larson, who lived quite a life .Although I am too young to remember him , the stories my parents told and seeing his replacement several times bring back great memories. Reminds you what effect people have on tourism too.
