This spring marks the first anniversary of Arthur and Pauline Frommer taking back the Frommer guidebook lines from the Great Google disaster, and as this REPORT in Publishers’ Weekly notes, they’ve used the year to launch a new series of over 30 EasyGuides—compact, lower-priced freshly-written books.
Now coming: a new series of larger “Complete” guides for those looking for a more comprehensive tool. The first ones will be out in September and can be pre-ordered at Amazon and other sites. The September list includes France, Spain, Italy, Hawaii and Ireland; Costa Rica follows in November and Germany and more in 2015. Looking at the author lists, I notice many of the same names who have done good work on the EasyGuides.
Glad to see Frommers with all these new travel guides coming out! There is still a great need for travel guides and i hope travelers will step up and show their support by buying copies.
