A very interesting article by Marybeth Bond of The Gutsy Traveler states 80% of all travel decisions are made by women and 75% of travelers who take cultural, adventure or nature trips are women.
Among other information she lists is that the average adventure traveler is a 47 year old woman ,not a 28 year old male. And she wears a size 12 dress.
