Sometimes you see an object that just needs to be photographed even though you will have no more information about its origins. Here I came across a beautiful 3rd Century BC door knocker whilst I was visiting the historic site of Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is just exquisite in its detail and I suspect, but have no proof to support it, that the door knocker has astrological horoscope details on it’s supporting plate.
