Girona, Spain is an ancient city northeast of Barcelona, with a fascinating medieval core and a walker’s treasure: The Passeig de la Muralla. The old city walls are among the most complete and best-preserved in Spain, and have been turned into an opportunity to see almost all of the old city from above.
When you do, you also see a lot of roofs and tiles and little niches of life, and some of them stay with you, as these two did for me.
