Puerto Vallarta is on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. It’s a busy working city with heavy traffic and hotels squeezed in next to the beach. It’s surrounded by the Sierra Madre Mountains and Vallarta Bay.
The “Malecon” (Boardwalk) is the Centre of the City, where you will find the historic displays, cafes, nightclubs, open air sculptures, bars and shops.
It was named the “Worlds Friendliest City” in 2001. How the City would rate in 2014 is questionable. Every bar you pass will run out to greet you and insist you come in for Tequilla.
Every beach seller will show you all his trinkets for sale as you pass by. As you lay on the beach they will whistle and shout to you. Our Hotel “Secrets” had 15 sellers all day — every day — on the beach.
Wow,thanks for all the bonus photos too! The colors of the materials bring back a lot of great memories of Mexico
