The cult favorite of many (I’m one), the Citroen 2CV was a true “people’s car,” designed to bring mobility to rural families. Designed before World War II, and with its heyday after, millions were sold.
When we first visited Marseille’s museum of the city’s history, we found it fascinating; when we heard it had expanded and improved as part of last year’s Capital of Culture celebration, we knew we’d be back.
I couldn’t remember the name of this Ely bookshop when I saw the picture and chose it for a Picture of the Day. So I first went to Google maps, to Street View to find it. No luck, High Street in Ely seems to have been bypassed…
This photo proved to be challenging, although Jonathan L figured out where it was — just didn’t put a name to it. That’s a view of the Montmorency River as enters the great St. Lawrence River, 13 km (about 10 miles) east of Quebec City….
