Living in the Great White North, one eagerly looks forward to the spring (especially after this last harsh winter that we had). Ahhhh, spring, when snow melts, songbirds return, grass turns green, flowers bloom, and best of all…car enthusiasts take their prize possessions out of winter storage and put them back on the road where they belong.
I discovered a few weeks ago that many car enthusiasts from my city gather every Thursday evening at a local mall for “Cruise Night”, a time and place dedicated to where car lovers can show off their beautiful automobiles and talk cars. Apparently this started about the middle of May and will continue until about the end of September. I was amazed at how many awesome cars could be found in my humble little city, and I was impressed with how friendly and happy these proud automobile owners were to answer any questions one may have about their cars and allow you to take photos of their automotive gems. I spent over two hours looking at beautiful cars from different decades, taking photos, and chatting with some beaming owners. I would like to thank all of them for a fun evening. These car owners deserve to be proud of their cars, and I admire all the hard work they put into each and every one of them.
Over the next few weeks I will publish blogs dedicated to the beautiful cars I saw on “Cruise Night”, sorting the blogs by automobiles from a specific decade.
Today’s blog features two automobiles from the 1920’s. Enjoy
1928 Ford Model A
1928 Ford Tudor
Love that onomatopoeic license plate: “Ah Ooga!” Blows my horn, for sure!
A very cool collection of classic cars! Look forward to seeing more!!
There must be more !
Can we see them soon ?
Great photos.
Hi Garry RF
You are correct in assuming there are more cars. Actually, my next “Cruise Night” blog will be published tomorrow (Tuesday, August 12/14) featuring five cars from the 1930’s. That blog will be followed in a few days or weeks with another “Cruise Night” blog featuring cars from the 1940’s and 1950’s, which will be followed in another few days or weeks with another “Cruise Night” blog or two featuring cars from the 1960’s, which will be followed in another few days or weeks with another “Cruise Night” blog featuring cars from the 1970’s and the 1980’s. I hope you will enjoy them. Thanks to all for your feedback. I appreciate it.
Ottoman. You must have a production line working overtime !
Remember those happy days when you just had Sunday off work – and you spent it under your car ! Greasing those bits and bobs so you’d survive another week !
