You can buy a refurbished Moto X for Republic Wireless for $199. The white color ones are still available when I last checked.

One of the big stories this past year in no contract budget smartphone plans has been Republic Wireless. It offers hybrid calling, meaning the phones use WiFi as a default and they back it up with the Sprint cell network.
