Despite a growing trend to offer duty-free shopping on international flights—and the chance to make serious money—Delta has ended its inflight duty-free program. The decision apparently involves both a disagreement with the company that has managed the program, and a resource decision.
Travel industry news site reports that other airlines, especially Middle East and Asian, are expanding their duty-free businesses, even to the extent of on-plane physical shops. But some areas of the world seem more open to it than others. MORE
