I’ll have flax with my plane, please!

Flax!?!  Yes, flax.

 

Airlines are remodeling their planes’ interiors more frequently than ever.  There are benefits to this — high tech videosystems, larger overhead bins, and inflight wifi come to mind, but there are also disadvantages — including narrower more crowded seating and tons of waste.  In an attempt to reduce the garbage generated, Boeing is investing in flax technology to see if it might be used to line a cabins’ interior.  Flax has a strong fiber which also is biodegradable.  More on this story from Skift at this link.
