Gumbo’s Pic of the Day, October 31, 2014: Postcards from Greece – Oia town, Santorini

Continuing my recent posts demonstrating my love for the magnificent views to be seen from the cliff tops in Oia, Santorini, looking out over the sea and down into the gigantic, flooded, volcanic caldera that lies in front of both of the nearly-connected towns of Thira and Oia both standing on the edge of the cliff-rim of the old volcano.

I now turn my camera back towards Oia town and it’s achingly beautiful hillside of whitewashed houses and windmills and I have to wonder if a travel destination can really get any more beautiful than this!
