I’ve had these shoes for over 3 years and they’ve served me well. Comfort beyond my expectations. We’ve walked the east coast of the US, around Europe, Turkey and climbed mountains in Wales – together ! The crumbling pathways of Cuba and soaked them – walking the beaches of England. The melting sidewalks of Mexico on mid-summers day. So you can see why I’m reluctant to part with an old and trusted friend.
They have holes in the sole and wearing out from the inside. They make strange noises after I’ve gone through a puddle. But I’ve never had wet feet.
They don’t make this “Equator” style shoes any more to replace them.

First time I’d got something for nothing since I got the Flu in that bad winter of ’75.
So in search of something to spend it on I searched the Amazon pages – and found they still make my beloved shoes. But with a new name ! So thanks to all at TravelGumbo as Amazon will have my new shoes with me in 3 days to go Christmas Shopping !
I’ve decided to keep my old friends for gardening duties !
With so many memories they shouldn’t face being crushed in the trash truck.

I’ve got a pair of hiking boots not unlike your walking shoes, that I’ll either need to get re-soled or throw away. They’re so comfortable I think I’ll need to get new soles on them.
