Bloomberg reported that United Airlines and Orbitz sued Skiplagged.com in Chigago’s Federal Court to prevent the travel website from helping people buy what they called “hidden city” plane tickets .
Hidden city ticketing happens when a passenger leaves at a connection place instead of completing their ticketed journey.

Tnooz is reporting that the 22 year old at the head of Skiplagged ,Aktarer Zaman , has had over 1500 people help fund his legal defense fund through the crowdfunding site GoFundMe.

I don’t see any harm in the practice. Airlines might not like it, but the behaviour falls squarely on their unreasonable shoulders. If you make a practice of fleecing folks, they’ll find ways to make their dollars stretch farther.
