Eurail kicks off new year with new plans

Eurail has enhanced its offerings for the new year with some new passes and some upgrades to existing ones. One of the best bits for families: children 4-11 now trvel free if accompanied by a pass-holding adult.

Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia have joined the club and are now included in global passes as well as some single and multi-country passes, making the Balkans more accessible. Poland is also “in the house,” filling in an important link for travelers between, say, Prague and Berlin.

There are also new first-class youth passes for those with extra to spend, and a new pass for Greece that includes island-hopping ferries as well as a ferry connection to Italy.
