United Airlines has almost completed its installation of new seats throughout its fleet; the new slimline seats are also set closer together (as close as 30″ pitch in some planes) and give United the equivalent of 14 more planes worth of space, according to industry news site Skift.
With falling fuel prices and rising profits, the airlines are beginning to make shareholders happy…but it’s not happy days yet for passengers. In fact, it reminds me of one of this morning’s cartoons on gocomics.com
