Imagine a fleet of jetliners covered with Hello Kitty characters. Imagine interior fixtures with the same theme, and crew as well. Imagine a boutique at the airport and inflight with Hello Kitty-themed products. Imagine that Taiwan-based EVA airlines is doing this 19 times a day and adding more Kitty flights. All true, and amazingly profitable.
Airline officials say these flights fill quickly, and tickets sell at higher prices than on regular flights, and the demand goes on. The airline will soon add flights to Houston, and possibly Newark. From USA Today, MORE DETAILS and some pictures.
I could see planes like this being very popular with families traveling with small children. Anything that distracts the kids is good for the parents!
If my circle of friends is any indication, it’s not the kids who are drawn to Miss Kitty!
