Smart marketing: publisher targeting Wright Brothers book at airports

David McCullough, two-time Pulitzer winner in history, has a new book out highlighting the Wright Brothers and the beginning of commercial aviation–and they’re aiming distribution at the people assumed to be most interested in the subject: air travelers. Simon and Schuster has teamed up with Hudson, the airport retailer, to push the book with special discounts (20%) at airport stores and on Hudson’s website. MORE

McCullough is a great researcher and writer, and this book will do well regardless of where it’s placed.
