This is old picturesque Churchtown in the Northwest of England.
It’s close to the Irish Sea. 20 miles north of Liverpool.
It still contains the thatched cottages from 1741 – when they were first mentioned in local history books.
In 1575 a ship was wrecked on the coast and its cargo washed ashore.
The locals collected the vegetables and planted them.
And Churchtown became the first producer of Potatoes in the UK.
This is one of the most famous visitors to Churchtown. TravelRob of TravelGumbo fame.
For an American he was pleasantly surprised by how cold the beer was.
