View looking up through the ornamental stairs of the Rookery building’s lobby in Chicago. The Rookery is the product of an unusual architectural “collaboration.” The quotes are because the original 1886 building, a masterpiece by Daniel Burnham in 1886 had its lobby re-imagined twenty years later by Frank Lloyd Wright.

There are regular tours of the rookery and other significant Chicago buildings, both by the Chicago Architecture Foundation and the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust.
