Iceland has another new attraction—Whales of Iceland, a permanent exhibit of 23 full-size whale models near Reykjavik’s harbor. It’s the world’s largest whale exhibit.

Whales are popular everywhere these days, and whale-watching tours attract about 25% of Iceland’s visitors.
Iceland is also one of the few countries that still hunt whales, and some anti-whaling activists hope the museum will help change that. For more on the museum, click HERE

That’s a lot of whales!
Iceland also has a brilliant whale museum to the north, the small costal town of Husavik. An great place to spend a half day. Husavik also is home to the phallus museum (you read that correctly).
Actually, the phallus museum, looking to expand and reach a wider audience, relocated to Reykjavik two years ago…
What!?! They’ve relocated the phalluses???
