Mike Reilly rented a £90,000 Jaguar XKR Supercharged car for a road trip from London to Manchester. He said he handed over the keys to the valet service at the Radisson Edwardian Blu in Manchester who offered to park it for him at a nearby car park.
Then he said he received a phone call from hotel staff four hours later saying the car had been involved in ‘an accident’ and that it was no longer drivable. The next morning when he went to inspect it, Mike claims the car had two flat tires and appeared to have ‘its suspension smashed.’ He said the hotel refused to give him any details about what had happened in the incident. He said the insurers have told him that the repair bill will top £6,000.
Mikes Reilly was quoted as saying,“ I know things happen in life but we’ve not had so much as a sorry.”
