According to a George Washington University study,adventure travel is a $263 billion market that is growing at a rate of 65% annually .Major cruise lines are jumping on the trend by expanding their adventure travel options.
Princess Cruises, has partnered with the Discovery Channel to offer excursions keyed to some of the station’s shows, like “Gold Rush.”
Celebrity Cruises announced a new excursions this week, many of them are focused on adventure. Like an excursion in Sicily, passengers can hike along the rim of the Silvestri Spent Craters.
