Travelling further west along Dorset’s Jurassic coast the road rises to the ‘Golden Cap’ at 191 metres (627 ft) above sea level. Stopping for a moment and looking back east along the coast we can see the semi-isle of Portland on the horizon. To the left, the rolling hills and fields of Dorset county and to the right Lyme Bay. Beautiful Dorset.
