One of the great perks of a good road trip is not knowing where you’ll stop along the way…just where you start and where you end (and sometimes, not even that!) So how about a 10-day cruise on a luxury ship where all you know is where it sales from and where it says farewell?
Hapag-Lloyd is betting a few hundred affluent passengers are up for that; they’re planning to try it out on the Europa 2, sailing May 14, 2016 from Istanbul and ending 10 or so days later at Athens’ port of Piraeus. Not only is there no more itinerary than that yet, there won’t be any more itinerary than that when the ship sails! The line says the passengers and captain will decide the rest during the trip (although it’s not likely to leave the Mediterranean). MORE
