Airbnb’s stunt: floating a house on the Thames

This is not your regular houseboat. It’s a complete two-bedroom residence complete with a lawn, a tree and a doghouse. Airbnb built it on a barge for publicity to celebrate the recent Deregulation Act that lets Londoners legally rent out their homes and apartments for up to 90 days a year.

The house will host press events and community events, and even an overnight. A lucky winner will get a Friday night overnight, with dinner prepared by Robert Ortiz, chef of Michelin-starred restaurant Lima.
