Disney’s cruise line division made a little magic onboard Disney Magic this week, with a glitzy announcement of a series of cruises starting October 2016 from New York, and from Galveston. Complete with Minnie Mouse dressed as the Statue of Liberty and a shower of pixie dust, the announcement took place while the ship was in New York on its way to summer cruises in Norway.
The New York cruises will go to Canada (in Octoberrrr!) and the Bahamahhhs on Disney Magic. After a 5-day to Canada and four cruises to the Bahamas, the ship will reposition to Miami for a season of 7-night cruises in the Caribbean.
Disney Wonder, meantime, will be based at Galveston, Texas in late 2016 for cruises to the Caribbean and Cozumel.
Bookings for all of the new itineraries open tomorrow. For MORE, check out cruisecritic.com
