Last week while we were preparing the flower pots on the deck after the usual cold winter, we noticed there was a bird’s nest built in one of them. We decided to leave it to see what it would bring and this weekend we noticed a mother robin perched and happily incubating something. I took a peek when she was off the nest for one of her breaks and there were four tiny blue eggs inside. She is not the least bit afraid of us, and quite willingly sits there while we walk and work around her. Perhaps it is the sign that made her feel at home?
