Panama’s Copa Airlines is adding San Francisco as its 12th U.S. destination, connecting California to its “Hub of the Americas” in Panama City. From there, Copa’s 737s fly to 55 cities in Latin America.
San Francisco is a strategic move; Copa is a Star Alliance partner, and San Francisco is a major hub for Star Alliance leader United Airlines. The link can provide many connections in Latin America for United, and greater access to U.S. destinations for Copa passengers.
Copa’s other U.S. destinations are: Chicago O’Hare, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York JFK, Orlando, San Juan (Puerto Rico) and Washington Dulles, Tampa and New Orleans. Copa also flies to Toronto in Canada.
