Further meandering around the narrow market streets of the harbour town of Fethiye in Turkey led me to this delightful display of carpets and rugs for sale. I like this shot because it embodies the old-town buildings that date back to the 1500’s (although the port has been there since 5BC in Hellenic and Roman times and doubtless earlier building foundations lie below these) and combines with it the dazzling display of colourful rugs that abound in the markets in Turkey.
