For travelers like me who love mountains, the Canadian Rockies are about as good as it gets. One evening I was driving to Calgary from the Crowsnest Pass in southwestern Alberta, along highway 22x, the beautiful Cowboy Trail. The Cowboy Trail is so named because cowboys used to tend large herds of free-ranged cattle in this area before the prairies were fenced off.
It had been raining a good part of the day but by dusk the rain had stopped and the clouds started breaking apart. I was treated to a most beautiful sunset. I stopped driving and just enjoyed the light show for about 10 minutes before continuing on my way.
