The United States was at the top of the list of “most satisfying” foreign destinations for Chinese tourists in the second quarter. Travel satisfaction for the United States was 80.99 out of a possible 100 points, 3.1 points higher than the average of 77.86 for 24 countries. The report was issued by China Tourism Academy, a state tourism research institute.
Singapore was the top-rated foreign destination in Asia, while Mongolia and India also scoring well according to the report.
Complaints focused on public services such as a lack of Chinese translations of public information and poor transportation, the report noted.
