Ethiopia Musings: 6) Lucy at the National Museum

In the center of Addis Ababa is the Ethiopian National Museum. Although it has been around for decades (1930’s), it was in the mid-1970s that the government supported the idea of having a National Museum that would exhibit the various objects that had been discovered at the archeological and anthropologic excavation sites around the country.
