To protect “the comfort and safety” of its passengers, budget airline Ryanair has announced it’s banning all booze, including duty-free purchases, from its flights from the UK to Spain’s vacation island of Ibiza.
The airline has notified passengers by e-mail that customers will not be allowed to carry alcohol on board and all cabin baggage will be searched at the boarding gates.” This comes after years of complaints and numbers of incidents such as the one seen in the video above. Ryanair’s not alone with the problem; another airline, Jet2, recently imposed a similar ban on flights after a flight from Leeds to Alicante had to be diverted because of a disruptive and presumably drunken passenger.
