In a recent survey of 4300 American travelers by TripAdvisor, and a similar survey of 2300 mobile travelers by FlightView,  some well know travel trends were reaffirmed and a few others of interest were noted.

Not surprisingly, travelers greatest pet peeves when flying are:

  • Uncomfortable seats/lack of leg room (73%)
  • Expensive fees and airfares (66%)
  • Flight delays and cancellations (45%)
  • Long security lines (35%)
  • Crying or loud children (32%) — of these, almost half would be willing to pay more for a child-free zone.

What are we willing to pay more for?  Gate-side bag check, curb-side car pick-up, and real-time luggage tracking.

More and more passengers are using their personal electronic devices to check flight status, check-in, and book airfares.  Use of PEDs for these functions is around 50%, plus or minus a few points.

eal-time luggage tracking, gate-side bag check, curbside car pickup, and tour services. – See more at: http://apex.aero/2015/07/22/ai…sthash.VyQMkWz2.dpuf
