Once again, Gumbo is on the move, and this time he’s abandoned the urban/bucolic Bronx for a far different place. Some things about his location may seem obvious, others not.
As usual, we ask that you not jump too quickly if you’re sure you have the answer; give others time to chime in and see if you can all find your way to the end. And when we’ve come to the end, I’ll tell you not only where this is, but a fascinating story of a man closely associated with it. So…

So, where is Gumbo visiting today? Please be as specific as possible.
Looks like a small chapel. I’d say Europe too. Reminds me of a ceiling in Einsedeln, Switzerland.
Must be Germany. Old Albert had much to say about war. This reminds me of another stained glass window in the Grace Cathedral. The world was much in need of peace that year.
It seems too narrow tobe a church, but I would guess that it is in Europe.
Two hits on one day…
1. It’s not too narrow to be a church
2. It’s in Europe
All the rest is wrong, and here’s today’s photo clue:
Is it in Germany?
The Puzzler really hopes to hear more today from the guessers…this usually works best when folks trade questions, hints and more.
Today’s clue shows another side of the church that is the answr to “Where in the World is TravelGumbo?” It’s a stained glass window that is very modern in style, and contains a significant historic reference (as do several others in the building).
The next clue is a wider view of the beautiful vaulting…so clean you might well wonder if it’s old or contemporary…
And here is the last clue, before the reveal is posted tomorrow. Two members have already submitted correct answers by e-mail—will you be next?
Today’s clue gives a pretty direct indication…
