With a long history of spy-versus-spy in the Cold War, and all sorts of espionage intrigue both before and since, it seems only fitting that Berlin should have a museum of espionage, and now it does, with the opening of Spy Museum Berlin tomorrow.
Located on Leipzigerplatz, adjacent to the former Berlin Wall, the museum features not only the high-tech doodads of modern spying (and not so high-tech ones, such as a parachute for homing pigeons), but also the history and social role of espionage going back to the earliest days of history.
There are also recorded interviews with spies and about spies, and even interactive espionage games. But, like spies themselves, everyone has a price…and in this case, it’s a stiff 18 Euro admission. For more information, check out the museum’s site HERE
