I always enjoy seeing birds in nature, but even more interesting to me is how they adapt in the city. As I was people watching at Gare Du Nord train station in Paris, I noticed pigeons using this spot to see the crumbs people dropped. I slowly got close to take a photo, but the pigeon flew away just as I pulled out my camera. Just then though, another pigeon landed on that precious viewpoint and I took this shot.

Thanks for a great shot…I always love scenes where birds go about their business, treating our structures and statues as if they were “for the birds!” I always wonder what they think we’re doing there…

I don’t think that bird is looking for bread crumbs.  I think he’s spotting which of the moving targets he’ll dive bomb!

The View North

I was visiting a friend, and this was the view from their house. I could understand why they built their house facing this direction. I was taken by the beauty!
