December 4, 2015: Weighing scales

I photograph random things that please me as and when I see them. Today, for no better reason than I liked their colours and textures, I present to you my latest discovery – weighing scales and potted marigolds (?? I’m no plant expert!!). I hope that you will enjoy them too 🙂

Mac — It would seem the scales are not evenly balanced and that one plant has gotten more than it’s share of soil and nutrients.  I trust you corrected that injustice!

Mac — now I know why that poor plant looks wilted, and why its pot is heavier!

January 15, 2016: Stonehenge Summer Solstice

The sign of times soon to come! This was my first summer solstice sunrise at Stonehenge in England and I love the picture because it heralds the warm sunny days that are yet to come (please!) after the dark days of winter. The solstice sun-rises are the only occasions these days when the public are allowed to be within touching distance of the old stones that comprise ‘the Henge’.
