Dec. 24, 2015: Poinsettia Christmas Tree, San Diego, California

Every so often I get a chance to travel to warm climates during the winter time.  A few years ago I had the pleasure of visiting San Diego, California.  Since I hail from the Great White North, it’s a treat visit a destination where there is no ice and snow.  These warm locales are so different than back home, offering up palm trees, green grass, cacti, and most different of all…a huge poinsettia Christmas tree.

This was the first time I had seen such a Christmas display.  I admired this beautiful poinsettia Christmas tree for quite a while before I took a picture of it to share with my family and friends back home.  Now I have the opportunity to share this picture with you and pass along this wish:  May all of our TravelGumbo family and friends, along with their family and friends, have Happy Holidays, a very Merry Christmas, and a Healthy Happy Prosperous New Year.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Wish I had seen it when I was in CA a couple weeks ago. Maybe next time ☺

Not a big surprise that it would be in San Diego, with Encinitas just to the north, the poinsettia capital of the universe. http://www.californiagreekgirl…ncinitas-california/
