More than 7,000 people already have visited six newly opened ‘domus’ (residences) in Pompeii. Superintendent Massimo Osanna told ANSA , “There have been a great number of visitors but we haven’t had any problems. The tourism was incredibly civilized and orderly.”
The 6 restored residences were opened as a group to show a view of what life in the Roman city was like before the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
