Yesterday, the major closure of Nipigon Bridge, located 100 km from Thunder Bay in Northern Ontario, had a big effect on people driving through that province.
The bridge is on main route that connects the province to western Canada without crossing through the states. Drives to Toronto from Winnipeg, require crossing that bridge on route .
The detour was for vehicles headed west or east to detour through the United States.
As of this writing , the WB lane is still closed but the EB lane is open.
